Rupture disks
Rupture disks function like an electrical fuse and allow the release of any overpressure occurring suddenly as a result of a chemical reaction, a thermal anomaly or failure of a cooling system. The rupture disk is installed on every pressurised enclosure (tanks, piping) to ensure the protection of humans and machines.
The different products offered in Graphilor 3® or in precious metals are:
These safety organs are strictly targeted and checked by TUV, ISPELS, STOOMWEZEN, APAVE, and CE Marking (PED 97/23EC).
Gouging carbon or gouging electrode:is a major element of arc-air gouging which combines the action of an electric arc (produced between a carbon electrode and the piece to be cut) and a jet of compressed air. The electric arc melts the metal and the compressed air removes the molten metal. The gouging process is particularly suited to the cutting, chamfering and gouging of many diverse materials (steel, iron, copper, light alloys).
Welding wires: Astrolite in the United States supplies welding wires in the material required by the client. Its range is very wide and includes stainless steel, aluminium, nickel, alloys and titanium.
Carbone Lorraine Chemical Equipment Division, via its subsidiary Cometec or Astrocosmos, offers special equipment in reactive metals.
